The power of coloring books :)

This week has been awesome! Our investigators are progressing a lot. Ani and Emiliano invited us to have an asado with them, and it was the BEST! The kids were all way excited that we were finally going to stay long enough to eat with them :) Then yesterday they FINALLY came to church!!! It was the biggest blessing ever, I was about to lose it seeing them say they were going to go to church and then not following through. It is a hard thing to watch people that you care about so much not understand the importance of the things that we teach. Thankfully, Ani and all of the kids were able to attend. I was worried that they would be sitting alone in sacrament meeting, but the sister in front of them gave the kids coloring books and another sister sat by them. It was amazing to see the members welcoming them so warmly. They left smiling, so we will see how they end up doing this week. Also, Marisol went to church this week. She is going to be baptized on the 13th of February. She is very determined to be baptized. Marisol used to be a less ative member¨s girlfriend, and was staying in his parents¨ house every time she visited, but yesterday he didn¨t come to church again and she dumped him. She was in bad shape by the time we got to visit her, but she is still determined to get baptized and press forward. What a champion!!! Anyways, we¨re excited for her. That¨s all folks. Adiós!

What would I have to do to get baptized?

This week has been a good one! We had a lot of lessons with our investigators Ani and Emiliano, and they´re going to get baptized on the 20th of February! We´ve been talking a lot about faith, repentance, baptism, the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. They have always been excited to learn about faith and prayer, but this week was the first week that they´ve been really interested in baptism. When we were explaining a completely different topic in a lesson with them this week he stopped us and asked what he would have to stop doing if he were to get baptized. We started explaining, and he said "I would do it." We were really excited, but Ani wasn´t there at the time so we couldn´t set a date for them. The next morning we went and he told us he wanted to be baptized! We´re super excited! They didn´t come to church because it rained and the power went out. (Flipping Satan!) They´re doing great though, and we´ll make sure to get them there next Sunday. Also, our investigator Marisol wants to get baptized. The issue is that her boyfriend is a less active member and he doesn´t want to get married. She drives for an hour every week just to come to church! She asked us how much longer we would be in the area and we made the mistake of telling her that it would probably be a while. That just made her say that she wanted to get baptized in April. We told her it probably wouldn´t be that long and that it could be as soon as February, and she changed her mind a bit, haha We´ll try to get a baptismal date for her this week. Everything else has been going well. Elder Wagner and I are doing well. Adiós!

Teaching how to pray :)

This week was a PERFECT week!!! It was the last week of the transfer, which is why I´m messaging on Tuesday instead of Monday. Sorry for not telling you guys about that, haha. The Tecce family got BAPTIZED!!! It was fantastic. They were so ready to be baptized and confirmed. I love those guys. They´re 3 brothers that are 12, 12 and 13. Two of them are twins. Their names are Julian, Leonardo, and Nicolás. I´m so happy for them! Also, we were able to teach a lot and find other investigators. The investigators that are closest to baptism are Marisol, and a family named Ani and Emiliano. Marisol is the girlfriend of a less active member who wants to come back to church. We´ve been able to teach almost all of the lessons to her so far, and she decided she wants to be baptized! They´re going to work on getting married, and one day they´ll be able to go to the temple. Ani and Emiliano aren´t married either. Pretty much nobody is down here, which makes things rather a challenge haha. They are progressing a ton, and they´re kids are adorable. Recently the oldest kid (7 years old) taught his little siblings how to pray. They all fold their arms and as he says the words they repeat with their little voices. It kills me every time! This week we´re going to work on setting baptismal dates for those families. I´ll let you all know how it goes! Adiós!

Baptisms, Book of Mormon, and HE GOT THE PACKAGE!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!! I love you a lot a lot a lot! This week was a lot of fun, and passed by SO fast! We had New Year´s Day, and we were able to teach a lot of people. We took four of the five young men out on visits with us, and all of those lessons were the BEST!!! Nicolas, Julian, and Leonardo Tecce were able to have their baptismal interviews and passed :) They are all going to be baptized on Saturday!!!!! I´m PUMPED. Also, we got to teach an investigator named Marisol that wants to be baptized and has been coming to church for the last month or so. We also took the elders quorum president with us on a visit with a family. Their names are Ani and Emiliano, and they have four kids under 8. They´re super fun to talk to, and always refer to God as "Diosito", which is like Carlito for God. It´s super cute. Anyways, we had a great lesson and we felt the Spirit really strongly. After the lesson they were able to pray as a family and said that it was a good experience. We´re excited to see them progress. Besides the upcoming baptism, the highlight of the week for me would be those lessons with the youth. To all of the young men: GO ON VISITS WITH THE MISSIONARIES! I used to think that it would just help me to prepare for my mission, but you can make the difference for an investigator to be baptized or not. The youth here don´t know a ton about the Gospel or the scriptures, and some of them have trouble talking to others, but whenever they shared an experience the investigators felt the Spirit. Three of those investigators are now going to be baptized on Saturday, and one of them is going to be baptized by one of the youth. Go on visits with the missionaries. I love you guys a lot, bye!

Oh yeah --  Well first of all I finished the BOM this morning and I thought about how you read  it everyday :) And I got the package!!!! Elder Wagner and I have been relishing all of the American candy. Thanks so much! It did come  :) Wow, 4 boxes of poptarts! I don´t even know what to do with that kind of power, haha. I also got about a trillion letters. I loved them!
